Thanks for your positive feedback. I used MS Photo Story as a simple and free editor which is available to faculty and students. I use a Mac on a daily basis, but chose to focus on a PC approach to meet the needs of our general population. Unfortunately, Win 7 no longer supports Win PS. I'll try using MS MovieMaker, but that introduces the possibility of video. Not a bad thing, but largely misunderstood and generally not needed to convey ideas and produce stories such as this example. I feel that once people understand some of the concepts of visual literacy and the power of still images, they can then approach their "need" for video to enhance the product if necessary.

Wow this is great. Thank you for sharing William. I am a very big advocate of prototyping all tools that I use in the classroom. I love how this digital story allows the viewer to get a sense of the author as well as make a opinion about the content of the story.
This is really cool.
Did you use iMovie to create he slide show and sound effects?
